How Long Do Lemons Last in the Fridge?

Instructions

  • Store fresh lemons at room temperature for up to one week
  • Place whole lemons in a resealable plastic bag. Store in the fridge in the crisper drawer for 4-6 weeks or in the freezer for 3-4 months*
  • Cut lemons into wedges or slices. Wrap in plastic wrap to keep them from drying out, place in a resealable plastic bag and store in the fridge for 5-7 days
  • Juice lemons by cutting in half and squeezing out the juice with a juicer or by hand. Strain out the pulp and seeds then pour the juice into a jar with a tight fitting lid. Store in the fridge up to 4 days**

Notes

*Frozen lemons can be used for their juice. Defrost lemons at room temperature or in the refrigerator until they’re soft. Cut in half and juice then strain out the pulp and seeds
**Lemon juice will slowly lose its flavor the longer its in the fridge. It’s ideally consumed or used shortly after juicing
