Sofit & Fluffy  CHALLAH BREAD

Challah is a traditional Jewish bread made using an enriched dough with eggs and a bit of sugar for a lightly sweet bread. With a golden color crust and soft, fluffy inside this is the best Challah recipe around!

What You'll Need - Eggs - Vegetable oil - Bread flour - Instant yeast - Sugar - Salt -Sesame seeds - Everything but the bagel seasoning

Serve this for Shabbat, Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) or any special occasion. Leftovers? This bread makes the best french toast too.

This bread only takes about 3 hours start to finish so you can enjoy it without a  lot of time needed.

This is a simple, 4-strand braid. Details about how to braid with four strands are included in my post and in the recipe itself.

If making the dough ahead of time, after the first rise and after shaping, place the dough in the fridge for the second rise and bake in the morning

Rather than baking your challah bread on a single baking sheet, nest two baking sheets inside of one another to keep the bottom of the loaf from getting too dark or burnt

Bread can be stored at room temperature in a bread bag, bread box or plastic wrap for 3-4 days. Refrigerate for up to 1 week
