Burger Buns - Brioche Style!

Baking bread at home is like magic. This recipe for Brioche Burger Buns will be the magical answer to creating the perfect burger experience.

INGREDIENTS

Filtered water Whole milk Active dry yeast Sugar Eggs  Bread flour All purpose flour – 2 teaspoons kosher salt Unsalted butter

These buns are lighter than traditional brioche, able to hold up a hamburger + toppings though!

Prepare your dough with active yeast.

Grease a bowl, let your dough rise while covered for 1-2 hours to proof.

Cut the dough into 10 equal size pieces and roll into a smooth ball. You can weigh them so they're equal and bake evenly.

The dough needs to rise a 2nd time. Before you bake them, make an egg wash with a pinch of salt & brush it over the dough.

Open the oven and add 1 cup of water to the empty baking pan on the bottom rack to create steam.  Bake rolls for 20 min.

Why Should You Use Bread Flour?  This type of white flour has more protein than all-purpose flour, giving the bread more chew.

Cool buns completely before storing any leftovers. Store in a plastic bag at room temperature for up to 5 days
