Easy Homemade Applesauce

This easy applesauce recipe is a must-make during the Fall season. Hand-picked apples from the farm blended with cinnamon and brown sugar make this homemade applesauce just perfect.

Ingredients

  • 6 pounds apples peeled, cored, and cut into 8 slices each
  • 1 cup water or apple juice or apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice freshly squeezed or from a bottle
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a large pot and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 25 minutes.
    6 pounds apples, 1 cup water, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, ½ cup brown sugar , 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Carefully puree in a food processor or blender (fill only halfway, splitting into two portions, if needed) until desired consistency is reached.

Notes

  • This applesauce will keep well in the fridge for awhile if stored in jars with tightly fitted lids
