At Kickass Baker, we pride ourselves on providing reliable, original, quality content to aid our readers in their baking. If you see a recipe or post on our site that you feel needs to be corrected or improved in some way, please contact us directly at kim@kickassbaker.com.
Who We Are
Kickass Baker is owned and operated by Kickass Baker, LLC. Kickass Baker was founded in 2018 by Kimberlee Ho. Read more about Kim and her journey with baking on our About page.
Our Recipes
All recipes appearing on Kickass Baker are thoroughly tested and taste-tested by family and friends before publishing, and are reworked as needed based on feedback received. The majority of recipes you see here have been developed by Kim or inspired by or adapted from reliable recipe sources. Wherever possible, I cite my recipe sources and inspiration, never seeking to take credit for the work of other recipe developers.
Our Content
All of our blog posts, photographs, and videos are created and edited by Kim.
Maintaining & Updating Content
As Kickass Baker grows and evolves over the years, it is not uncommon for the style of our writing, photography, videography, or recipes to change. In order to provide the most consistent and pleasant user experience across all aspects of Kickass Baker and any associated platforms, we will continuously review older content for improvement opportunities and make revisions to published content as we deem necessary.
Should you need an older version of a recipe that has been redeveloped or updated in some way, please contact us directly at kim@kickassbaker.com and we will do our best to assist you.
Transparency & Accountability
Author Attribution
Each blog post, photograph, video, and recipe published on Kickass Baker is written, researched, and created by actual people, not generated by computer or artificial intelligence. Each post features an author byline hyperlinked to more information about the author. Posts also feature a short author biography toward the bottom of the page, following each recipe card.
Supporting Sources
Links to sources will be provided to attribute content to the sources from which they came.
Errors & Corrections
While we take content integrity very seriously, we simultaneously understand that unintentional errors are inevitable. We promise to correct any errors in content quickly and transparently. If you see a recipe or post on our site that you feel contains inaccurate information, please contact us directly at kim@kickassbaker.com.
Photo and Video Integrity
I shoot all of the photos on my site with a DSLR camera using natural or artificial light in my dining room turned studio using my real kitchen equipment and tools. Photos are edited in Lightroom to adjust brightness, contrast, and coloring, and to highlight the important parts of the dish.
I do sometimes retouch photos to remove debris, fingerprints, dust, etc. I never use stock photos or rely on AI to generate photos.
All videos are shot with my Sony camera in my dining room using natural or artificial light. They are edited in Final Cut Pro, are slightly sped up at times to keep you, the viewer, interested, and occasionally have the brightness adjusted.
Reader Comments
We welcome any and all honest feedback, both positive and negative, on all of our recipes. We do not, however, tolerate profanity, abuse, harassment, discriminatory remarks, or incendiary rhetoric in our comments. Kickass Baker reserves the right to remove reader comments that are not respectful, on-topic, constructive, or that otherwise violate our standards for discussion.
Star Ratings
Readers are welcomed (and encouraged) to leave a star rating with their review comment, reflecting their opinion of the related recipe on a 1-5 scale, with 1 star being the lowest possible score and 5 stars being the highest possible score. In order to submit a star rating, said rating must be accompanied by a review comment, reader name, and reader email address. Star ratings cannot be submitted without comment.
We will never manipulate star ratings to artificially inflate or misrepresent the perception of a recipe.
